Ans: End of Bhutto’s government:
- During the elections of 1977, all the political parties started a compair
against the People’s Party. They formed an alliance called ‘Pakistan Nationa
Alliance’. Maulana Mufti Mahmud was its head.
2. The National Allience blamed Bhutto of rigging the polls and boycotted the
national elections held in March 1977.
3. When the situation became worst, Zia-ul-Haq the then Army Chief overthre
Bhutto’s Government and declared Martial Law on 5th July 1977.
