India raised hue and cry in the UN Security Council, accusing Pakistan of
invading Kashmir. Security Council setup a commission, which submitted its
report on 6th February, 1948, stating to hold a plebiscite in Kashmir. Another
resolution was passed on 5th January, 1949, declaring plebiscite as the only
solution to this issue.
