Ans: Pak-Egypt Relations:
Pakistan’s relations with Egypt were not friendly. In early days after
independence, for the obvious reason that a group of Arab leaders had
friendly ties with the leadership of the Indian National Congress. These
leaders supported Congress point of view and did not welcome the creation
of Pakistan, Egyptian..leadership also had anti-Pakistan inclinations.
Relations, however, started improving gradually. President Ayub Khan made
serious efforts to develop friendly ties with Egypt Egyptian president Anwar us Sadat was a good friend of Pakistan. He brought both countries ever closer. Pakistan support Egyth during Arab-Israel war of 1973.Both countries have now developed normal friendly relations, cooperation in the field of science and technology as well as in trade and commerce are underway.
