Ans: The Indus Water Plan:
To overcome the scarcity of water, a vast irrigational plan was developed
was named Indus Water Plan. Under this plan, 2 big dams, 6 barrages
seven link canals were built. These link canals helped in providing wa
from the western rivers to the eastern rivers. This helped to provide irriga
to the lands formerly being irrigated by the eastern rivers. Tarbela Dam
the River Indus and Mangla Dam on the River Jhelum are part of this plan.
