SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation). is an
organisation for reginal cooperation of South Asian countries. The idea for its
formation was presented by the Ex-Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Mr. Zia-
Ur-Rahamn in 1980 but this organization was established in 1985.
